The Roof

Our new flat is located on the last floor of the building. Which means the roof is part of our flat, since essentially it is our flat that we are walking on top of. Anyway, the roof is mostly cleared except for three or four satellite dishes in the corner. It just needs to be cleaned up a bit. Yesterday, we spent some time cleaning it and the girls rode their bikes around a bit. I also set up a swing set but didn't get any pictures of that.

Wonderful. You've discovered the roof. What a great joy the roof can be! Picnics, parties, patio furniture, inflatable pools, swings, bikes, sidewalk chalk, shuffle board, sun-tanning, gardens - almost all the comforts of the playground right at home.

From experience, there are few things to watch out for… balls are magnetically drawn to some space just over the rail [avoid them]. Spit [a generally useful and helpful thing] should also not go over the rail. If you choose to use an inflatable pool [so very much fun], be aware that roofs [rooves?] can be very slick when wet.

Finally, you are hereby cordially invited to attend an informal rooftop soire at our house at your earliest convenience. Loverly.
