What do you think????

We are expecting our third child!!! We are so excited of this wonderful blessing! Jill is due the first of April. We thought it would be fun for everyone to get involved the next few months by voting for what you think it is; boy or girl?? We have chosen not to find out until the little one is born. To the right, you'll find a poll to vote. So everyone, tell us what you think??? Who know maybe there will be a reward for those who answer correctly......don't get your hopes up.

First Week of School

As most of you know, we decided to home school Lydia. This week completed the first three days for her. We were able to rent a small flat and we spent a couple of days setting it up. Lydia started school on Tuesday. Our schedule for her is about two hours per day, five days a week. Three days out of the week we have an Egyptian friend who is coming to teach her Arabic for a half an hour. After the first day, she came home pretty tired and while she was watching cartoons she just started crying and told me she can't write her name very well. Poor thing. I think we have a little perfectionist on our hands. The second day, Jill said they were coming home and Lydia said, "Mommy my head hurts!" Jill is doing a great job and after three days Lydia is enjoying it.

Lydia's first day

Jill and Lydia walk about 10 minutes every morning to school. Lydia was a little nervous the first day. :)

What's the weather like there?????

One of the most asked questions while we were in the states was "what's the weather like?" Well, now you can keep up to date with the weather for Cairo. However, please be aware that in the hot summer the temperature is actually hotter than what is shown on the internet. I don't know the answer to why this is so. Maybe some of you do! Anyway, if you look in our links to the right I've added a link to a great website that shows the weather for Cairo.
