MEET SCOOTER

......or is it snowball or just plain "kitty" (Lydia can't make up her mind). When we got back to Egypt Lydia kept asking for a kitty and we finally caved. So far she seems to be a very good kitten. We've had her for two days now and every night she's slept with Lydia and she sits right beside Lydia while watching cartoons. The good thing for us is that she knows how to use the litter box well!

102 degrees here...how 'bout you?

Hi everyone!! Lydia and Alia here. We usually don't write but Mama and Daddy are unpacking all our clothes while we play in the pool. It's hot here....but it's a dry heat...ha ha! The weather here is quite a bit different than at Grandma and Grandpa's house in America. I hope you're keeping cool too.

Benadryl is our friend

After a week long packing frenzy, sad good byes to family, and a gruelling 29 hours of travel we have made it to our home in Egypt. We left from Jill's parents house around 1:30 pm Saturday and arrived in Egypt at 2:30 am Monday morning. Egypt is eight hours ahead of Central time U.S. The girls did pretty good. We gave them both a little Benadryl and they were out most of the way on both flights. Lydia was a little upset because she was so excited that they were going to show "Over the Hedge" on the plane and then she missed it because she was sleeping. Oh well!!! Anyway, we are all doing well....just getting back on schedule through some jet lag. It feels good to be back. We are just shocked our time in the states went so fast!!

We have a 5 year old???!!!???

It's hard to believe that five years ago we gave birth to our first child. I look at our little girl and can't imagine that she was a little baby. She's so grown up! She can even write her name now. Jill and I used to say things like, "I can see us having a baby or toddler but not a school aged child". Well, now Lydia will be starting kindergarten and she'll soon be learning to read. How exciting! We decided to celebrate her birthday early so that most of the family could wish her happy birthday. We actually had two parties. One in Sedalia with my family and one in St. Louis with Jill's family.

We had a wonderful time at Partitown in Sedalia a couple of week ago.

Lydia got to go to Chuck E. Cheeze's in St. Louis for the first time.
