Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a wonderful thanksgiving with friends. The great thing here in Egypt is that we get our Turkey fresh...I mean fresh...like killed the day before or that day. We soaked him in a brine overnight and baked him crispy brown. We had friends over and ate and ate and ate! We put a poster board on the wall for everyone to write what they are thankful for. We have so much to be thankful for! We trust you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A Ronald McDonald Birthday!

We recently went to a birthday party at McDonald's with some friends. The music was loud and the games were fun! Every parent's dream! I thought you might enjoy some of these pictures.

A trip to the dentist

I don't think many people like to go to the dentist. Unfortunately, Lydia's first visit wasn't just a cleaning. Lydia started telling us that her tooth hurt when she brushed...then she started saying that it hurt when she ate. So we took her to our dentist and sure enough there was a cavity between two of her back molars. The dentist was so good and gentle. He talked her through everything he did. I think the experience was more traumatic for Momma but there were a couple times when Lydia's whole body tensed up...like when the drill was digging around. But she got a toy and a new toothbrush afterward and her tooth doesn't hurt anymore. Now, hadn't you better schedule your next appointment? :)

A Halloween party

Sorry for the long time without updating. Here's some pics of a halloween party we had at the house. We had some friends over and we each hid behind a door and had the kids walk around the house knocking on room doors saying "trick or treat". It was fun. We also were able to go to a party hosted by a local British school.
